T-Byggen was stuck in an outdated and costly environment, built on servers and working methods that hampered both efficiency and collaboration. Many systems were outdated, documentation was inadequate, and no one had a complete overview of what was actually being used or needed.

“We lacked control and felt that we needed to start over with something simpler, smarter, and more cost-effective. We needed a close IT partner that could function like an internal IT department,” says Fredrik Karlsson, CFO at T-Byggen.

The collaboration began with a thorough review of which systems, licenses, and services were actually being used in order to create a cost-effective setup and long-term control. Old servers were decommissioned and documents and systems were moved to the cloud. New hardware and network equipment were then rolled out, office by office. At the same time, a gap analysis and a business analysis were carried out, which provided a clear picture of the current situation and which security measures needed to be prioritized.

“Previously, everything was stored in old folders, and it was not always clear where things were located. Now we have a shared structure in Teams, and everyone has received training, which allows us to work much more efficiently. This is exactly how we wanted our IT to function—simple, clear, and tailored to our needs,” concludes Fredrik.
