New Outlook - Modern design and improved functionality
Microsoft has now launched the new version of Outlook for Windows and it's not just about a new look. The new Outlook is built to provide a more modern and flexible workday and hhere's a quick rundown of what's new and how it affects you.

What does the new Outlook for Windows mean?
It is Microsoft's next-generation email that brings all your email accounts, calendar and contacts together in a more unified and web-based way. The goal is to provide a simpler and more streamlined user experience recognizable from Outlook on the web.
This means:
- An updated and modern interface
- More focus on smart features and AI support
- Unified management of multiple email services (Outlook, Gmail, Yahoo, etc.)
- If you're using Outlook for Mac, it's also time to switch, as support for older versions will end soon

The biggest news in Outlook
- Everything in one place - regardless of email provider
With the new Outlook, you can easily add multiple accounts from different providers, such as Gmail, Yahoo or iCloud. It all comes together in one interface.
- More power from AI
The new version leverages Microsoft's smart tools, like Microsoft Copilot, to help you prioritize, respond to emails faster, and stay on top of your commitments.
- Better sync with your calendar
Outlook not only brings together emails, but also integrates calendar, to-do lists and reminders into one flow.
- Smarter notifications and prioritization
You can now easily set priorities and receive reminders of important emails or deadlines directly in Outlook, without having to switch to other apps.
- More control over your settings
The settings are easier to find and use, making it easier to customize Outlook for the way you work.
When can I start using the new Outlook?
Already now! If you have Windows 10 or Windows 11, you can try it right away by downloading the app from the Microsoft Store or enabling it in your existing Outlook app if the feature is available.
Please note that this is a separate app from the classic Outlook for Windows. Both versions will exist in parallel for a transitional period.
Some important things to consider
- Features missing? New Outlook is still being developed and some advanced features from classic Outlook may not yet be available.
- Want to try it out? You can switch between new and classic Outlook at any time. Which is perfect if you want to familiarize yourself at your own pace.
- License. The new version is included in Microsoft 365 and can also be used free of charge with private email accounts.
In conclusion, we want to emphasize that this is a big step towards a simpler, smarter and more connected working day. Our recommendation? Try the new Outlook in parallel with your usual one and see how it can streamline your everyday life.
