New integrations and features in Teams

One of the biggest news for Teams 2024 is the integration of Microsoft Copilot into Teams. It uses AI to improve the user experience by streamlining workflows and automating routine tasks. An integration that facilitates everything from project planning to decision-making. Read more about this groundbreaking technology in our previous article on how to easily implement Copilot - your new digital assistant.

Personalize your message with Copilot

One of the new features of Microsoft 365 Copilot is that you can now get help with your messages in Teams. Start by writing your message, then open Copilot and choose to customize it to your liking. By entering a specific prompt, such as "make the message longer" or "turn into a list", Copilot will adapt the text accordingly. For more information, read more here.

More news in Teams 2024

  • Forward chat messages: Sharing information in Teams is now easier than ever. With the chat message forwarding feature, you can easily right-click on a message, select "forward", and send it on to an individual or group. You can also add extra text before sending. Learn more about forwarding messages in Teams chat here.

  • Commands for efficiency: Use commands to quickly perform actions directly from the search bar. Type a slash (/) followed by the command to perform actions like opening a chat, navigating to settings, or changing your status. Learn more about how to use commands in Teams here.

  • Smooth communication across languages: Translation in Teams makes communication smoother. When you receive a message in a language other than your own, Teams now suggests a translation. You can customize the settings to automatically translate messages from some languages or turn off translation for others. Learn more about how to translate messages here.

  • Renaming the "General" channel: From the end of September 2024, it is expected that all users will finally have the possibility to rename the previously static 'General' channel.

  • Improvements during presentations: During presentations in Teams, you can now manage the speaker toolbar more easily. With this new feature, you can move the toolbar freely on the screen to better suit your presentation and interaction with the audience.
