Microsoft is phasing out the Microsoft 365 Copilot license ($30/month) for small and medium-sized businesses. It is being replaced by Microsoft 365 Copilot Business, a license specifically designed for organizations with up to 300 users.

• Same features as previous Copilot license
• Customized pricing and a simpler purchasing journey for SMBs
• Available for purchase as a standalone product or as part of a bundle with Microsoft 365 Business

New bundles for Microsoft 365 Business

Microsoft is introducing a completely new way to purchase Copilot. The license can now be purchased together with the most common Business licenses:

• Business Basic + Copilot Business
• Business Standard + Copilot Business
• Business Premium + Copilot Business

This means fewer licenses to keep track of and a more predictable, scalable model, especially for organizations that want to grow gradually.

Who does the new license apply to?

The new Copilot license is aimed at small and medium-sized businesses. Organizations with up to 300 users will now use Copilot Business, while larger companies will continue with their previous license. This creates a clearer structure and makes it easier for everyone to understand which license is right for their needs.

For companies with up to 300 users, the change brings several concrete benefits. The price will be lower, and the campaign makes it cheaper to get started than before. At the same time, the purchasing process is simplified because Copilot can now be purchased as a bundle, reducing the need for multiple separate license options. Finally, it will be easier to grow in line with the organization's needs, as you can add up to 300 licenses within the same structure.
